    Description
    Our client is searching for an experience Senior Accountant to join their team in Calgary. A successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing managing and supervising all aspects of the company's accounting functions.

    Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To

    • Review and approve bookkeeping entries and sweeps prepared by the bookkeeper.
    • Monitor daily maintenance of cash accounts, bank account reconciliations.
    • Oversee the accounts payable process.
    • Manage cash flow, including monitoring cash balances, forecasting cash needs, and optimizing cash utilization.
    • Prepare Financial Statements.
    • Prepare property expense summaries.
    • Prepare budget vs. actual reports.
    • Prepare and File Compliance Statements with financial institutions.
    • Prepare and File GST Returns
    • Prepare tax returns.
    • Maintain Monthly Investment Schedules.
    • Oversee and assist with treasury management.
    • Assist with investment opportunity research.
    • Manage Insurance Renewals & Summary reports, Auto Insurance and Registration Renewals.
    • Review capital asset listings.

    Your strengths include:

    • Degree or Diploma in Accounting or Business Administration and CPA / CA preferred.
    • Proficient in Office Suite and MS Teams.
    • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
    • Competency in Dynamics NAV and Jet Reports are considered assets.
    • Must be extremely organized and meticulous and work well in a team environment.
