    Description

    PURPOSE

    The Retail Manager reports to the General Manager and is responsible for overseeing tenant relations and various property management tasks to ensure the smooth operation of a large Shopping Centre Complex.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Tenant Services
      Manages tenant relations, including rent collection, lease compliance, and resolving tenant issues to maintain positive relationships.
    • Operating Budget
      Monitors and reports on monthly and quarterly budgets and sales figures to ensure efficient resource utilization.
    • Accounts Payable
      Verifies and approves small to medium invoices, reviews large expenditures for approval, ensuring adherence to company policies.
    • Contractor Services
      Oversees contractor activities for tenant projects to ensure timely completion with minimal disruption.
    • Support to Marketing and Specialty Leasing
      Assists in marketing and leasing functions to increase revenue streams.
    • Customer Service Support
      Provides support to maintain high-quality customer service.
    • Economic and Market Trends
      Monitors local market conditions to support decision-making.

    Any other assigned duties or projects.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
    Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Education

    • College degree in a related field (e.g. Commerce, Finance, etc.) or equivalent
    • 5 years of relevant retail property management experience
    • Knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting, and MS Office

      • Core Competencies

      • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
      • Customer service orientation
      • Organizational and relationship building skills

      ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

      • Experience with Yardi or other real estate platforms is an asset
      • RPA designation or enrollment in the program is an asset
      • Licensed in Rental Property Management or Real Estate Trading Services or willing to obtain a license within one year.
