    Description
    Our technology team is charged with developing, testing, and operating one of the largest e-commerce sites in the country. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead our talented team of software engineers.

    The ideal candidate will be passionate about technology, possess strong leadership abilities, and have a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions.


    What you'll do:

    Team Leadership:
    Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of software engineers to achieve their full potential. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

    Project Management:
    Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software projects within agreed timelines and budget constraints. Ensure that projects are completed according to specifications and meet quality standards.

    Technical Guidance:
    Provide technical guidance and expertise to team members. Assist with problem-solving and decision-making, and ensure that best practices and coding standards are followed.

    Stakeholder Communication:
    Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including product managers, designers, and other engineering teams. Communicate project status, risks, and opportunities effectively.

    Resource Management:
    Allocate resources effectively to meet project demands. Identify skill gaps within the team and develop strategies for addressing them, such as training or hiring.

    Process Improvement:
    Continuously evaluate and improve software development processes and methodologies. Identify areas for optimisation and implement changes as needed to increase efficiency and productivity.

    Quality Assurance:
    Ensure that software products meet quality standards and performance requirements. Implement testing strategies and quality assurance processes to detect and resolve issues early in the development lifecycle.


    Who you are:
    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
    Proven experience 7 years in software engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
    Strong technical background in software development.
    Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
    Experience managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders.
    Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
