    As a manager of the Guidewire Development team, you will be working with globally distributed teams, including business representatives, business analysts, architects, and engineers to plan, design, develop, test, and implement solutions.

    You will also assess Technical Debts and Priorities with the leads to make sure the solutions that are built are sustainable and are production ready.

    Requirements Analysis
    Collaborate with business analysts and product owners to review the software requirements, challenge them on the business value, validate the assumptions made, influencing the partners on the prioritization of the work
    Create architectural diagrams, high level and detailed design documents & estimates
    Work with project managers and product owners on alternate solutions, and adjust the solution to either fit with the given timeline or be within the budget
    Coding and Peer Reviews
    Write programs, configure / package / deploy software
    Establish and follow coding standards
    Debug and unit test the code
    Work with DevOps and Testers on improving automation
    Coach the senior resources to become the future leaders
    Hire talent by conducting technical, behavioral interviews
    Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
    Expertise in GOSU Language, configuration and coding using Guidewire tools and accelerators, Guidewire Batch, and Guidewire predefined plugins
    Read code in other languages and reverse engineer products
    Agile software development, including the use of Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, etc.
    Other assets and nice to have:
    Core Java and Spring Boot
    REST APIs, web services, and messaging
    Database systems such as Oracle and Mongo
