    • Why is this role important?

    The Health System Performance Reporting (HSPR) team is dedicated to the development and reporting of health indicators that support health system performance reporting and measurement in Canada.. As a co-op student you will be involved in a variety of activities that support priority projects for our department, that help drive CIHI's overall mandate to deliver on better data, better decisions, for healthier Canadians. This unique opportunity will expose you to areas of health informatics, epidemiology and statistics, research and analysis, and health system performance.

    What you'll do

    Support CIHI's Your Health System web tool, which provides health system decision-makers with key health indicators for hospitals, long-term care facilities and health regions
    - Provide internal team support, which may include:
    o Participating in discussions regarding analytical and technical issues, problem- solving,
    solutioning and execution
    o Ensuring accuracy of web content and indicator data
    o Conducting literature reviews and/or environmental scans in assigned areas of
    research, preparing a written summary of the findings, and presenting it to the team
    - Working with other CIHI teams, including coordination, collaboration, communication, monitoring, reporting and documentation activities

    What you'll bring to the table

    -Working towards an undergraduate program requiring Co-op as part of educational requirement
    -Be well organized, detail-oriented and able to work independently and as part of a team
    -Ability to communicate effectively to internal and external stakeholders, both verbally and in writing
    -Proficiency with the Office suite of products (standard word processing, spreadsheet, database and communications software)
    -Be interested in contributing to a strong team environment
    -Fluency in English required, bilingualism in both official languages is an asset
