    Current Opportunity:
    EAP Counselor Mandarin Speaking

    Onsite/Hybrid/Remote:
    Hybrid or remote depending on your proximity to our Toronto office.

    Shifts:
    Sunday - Thursday 11:30 am - 8:00 pm EST
    Salary:62,000 CAD a year

    Language:
    Clinical counseling experience in English and Mandarin What you will do:

    Our EAP Counselors engage with participants over the phone, video, chat & email all while demonstrating what we call: The Power of a Good Conversation – creating a connection with the client to ensure they feel heard, supported, and cared for.

    It's difficult to describe an average day for our counselors, as each caller presents with a unique set of challenges, and it would be from your clinical conversation that would help each person navigate a way forward.

    and

    Provide single session telephonic counselling, in-the-moment support and crisis telephonic management in a supportive, ethical and professional manner while maintaining client-confidentiality.

    Assess clients thoroughly to ensure appropriateness for short-term counselling.
    Assess and manage high risk calls and working closely with individuals at risk.
    Social worker, Counselor or Psychologist with accompanying Master's degree or diploma
    Experience using short-term counselling modalities such as Solution-Focused, CBT, Mindfulness,
    Integrative, Systemic counselling.
    Training in crisis intervention and supporting high risk clients beneficial.
    symptoms and/or family/relationship-related concerns impacting personal or work performance.
