    Description
    Our respected client is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to spearhead their Estimating team.

    This is an unparalleled opportunity to lead in one of Canada's most significant projects, where your expertise and direction will have a crucial role in shaping its success.

    Apply your broad-based experience in construction estimating across various work scopes, including civil, structures, track, and stations.
    Undertake a comprehensive review of blueprints and tender documents to understand the total project scope and submission requisites.

    Showcase your expertise in design models and integrated digital delivery (IDD) software for an accurate evaluation of project scope and quantity generation.

    Construct detailed bills of quantities (BOQ) using your experience and various cutting-edge techniques, including Bluebeam.

    Draw on your decade of experience to define material price lists (derived from BOQs), labor cost estimations per man-hour, equipment needs, and crew assemblies, while pricing BOQ items accurately.

    Use your extensive network and deep understanding of the industry to secure competitive pricing from subcontractors and suppliers, achieving cost efficiency without compromising quality.

    Perform comprehensive research into historical data such as purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis, benchmarking, and reports, to compile insightful summary reports and establish reliable estimating guidelines for the project.

    Contribute valuable insights into the design process, utilizing your extensive knowledge to ensure a seamless transition from planning to implementation.

    Collaborate with stakeholders, including project managers and executives, to deliver precise and comprehensive estimates that align with the project's objectives.

    A decade or more of hands-on experience as an estimator in the construction industry, with a proven track record of successfully estimating large and complex projects.

    A solid educational background with a university degree or technical college diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
    Profound understanding of construction methodologies, contracts, and cost control techniques.
    Excellent interpersonal skills, including relationship building, exceptional communication abilities, and high attention to detail.

    Advanced skills in standard Microsoft software (Excel, Word, etc.), A result-oriented mindset with an unwavering dedication to quality and excellence.
