    Position Description

    Reporting to the Manager, Procurement, the Procurement Analyst will support the development, implementation, and monitoring of policies and procedures to support the procurement of goods and/or services in support of the overall operating strategies of Surrey Place.

    Procurement:

  • Lead the full-cycle procurement process for low to medium complexity procurement requests from members of the organization in a manner that is consistent with Surrey Place's Procurement Policy and applicable laws, trade agreements, and Government directives.
  • Support Inventory Management.
  • Draft emails, forms, letters, etc. as required for internal stakeholders and vendors.
  • Support the administration of the Surrey Place procurement email account.
  • Ensure procurement trackers are up to date.
  • Assist with the maintenance of vendor files and documentation.
  • Provide administrative support to the Manager, Procurement on Surrey Place's procurement initiatives and projects.
  • Contract Management:

  • Process documents such as contracts and any subsequent amendments for execution.
  • Support the contract renewal process.
  • Administrative Functions:

  • Ensure policies and procedures are followed and that there is adequate documentation.
  • Effectively communicate and provide training on procurement policies and procedures.
  • Assist with placing orders with vendors, as required.
  • Assist with the development and adoption of Power Apps and Power BI dashboards.
  • Report on key metrics related to procurement and purchasing.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
  • Professional designation is considered an asset.
  • 3 years of experience working in public sector procurement (Federal Government, Ontario Public Sector (OPS), Ontario Broader Public Sector (BPS), or other Canadian jurisdictions).
  • Familiarity with Ontario's BPS Procurement Directive, Trade Agreements (CFTA, CETA, etc.) and current developments in procurement.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
  • Excellent organization and time management skills, and the ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and SharePoint).
  • A satisfactory Police Records Check (Vulnerable Sector Screening).
  • Fluency in French is considered an asset.
