    Fire Safety Officer

    The Fire Safety Officer will support the HSSEQ department in a field inspection and office capacity. The Fire Safety Officer shall have a functional reporting line to the IMS Director. The Fire Safety Officer shall report directly to the M&R Director.
    Assess and Audit field operations against TransitNEXT policy, systems, and legislation.
    Ability to provide Safety Orientation sessions.
    Enter information into Atkins Realis systems and update all databases.
    Carrying out compliance auditing of contractors.
    Implementing, maintaining, and ensuring the effective operation of the M&R Safety Management Plan.
    Ensuring that OHS Audits are implemented as planned and as required by the Project Agreement.

    Ensuring that a comprehensive and effective training plan is implemented on the Project to provide all personnel awareness of hazards in the workplace and how to eliminate or mitigate those hazards in their day to-day work activities.

    Maintain the system developed and implemented to verify where specific personnel certifications are required to meet regulatory requirements and that these certifications are in place and valid.

    Lead regular safety meetings held at various levels of the M&R organization.
