Sheridan faculty provide academic leadership to programs and courses within their areas of expertise and contribute to the creation of a learning-centred environment where students can develop to their full potential.
They also contribute to College, Faculty, and program excellence by collaborating on a variety of initiatives such as new program development, applied research and alternative delivery strategies.
Within this context of inspiring innovation and excellence, the Pilon School of Business is currently seeking part-time Professors for the Creative Industries Management Post-graduate program.
Sheridan seeks part-time professors to teach in the following courses within Creative Industries Management:[BUSM Creative Industries Environment]
[LAWS Entertainment Law & Negotiation]
[MGMT Production 2:
Planning]
[MGMT Strategic Arts Management]
Sheridan professors are responsible for developing an effective learning environment for students while respecting their diverse cultural and educational backgrounds, experiences, and individual learning styles.
Delivering course curriculum in classroom and online, which includes ensuring student awareness of course objectives, approaches and evaluation techniques;
Evaluating student progress/achievement and assuming responsibility for the overall assessment of the students' work within assigned courses;
Developing individualized instruction and multi-media presentations, incorporating technology into the learning process where applicable in accordance with the course learning outcomes and curriculum provided;
Attending periodic faculty meetings.

You are an agile individual with an ability to respond and adapt to change while using your problem-solving skills to most appropriately and effectively support each student's unique needs.
Three to five years' relevant professional experience in management, supervision, or administrative roles in the television, film, animation, gaming, or entertainment media industry preferred;
Practical experience using current technology and software for related field in the past 3 years
Experience in teaching and curriculum development at the post-secondary level or equivalent experience as a trainer in industry is preferred.
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
Committed to excellence in teaching and learning and to working within a team environment.
