    Description

    Allied REIT is looking for a recent graduate Property Accountant (recent grad) to join our Accounting and Finance team in Toronto.

    In the role of Property Accountant, you will gain the experience necessary to manage the full accounting cycle of a portfolio of commercial properties.

Throughout your education in Accounting or a related field, you have stood out for your pursuit of excellence.     Learn to manage the full accounting cycle of a portfolio of properties, including preparing journal entries, monthly operating costs and tax recovery estimates.

    Review and analyze financial statements, balance sheets and recovery ratios to provide variance analysis.

    Prepare final annual operating costs and tax recovery adjustments, including preparing CAM audit statements and assisting with property tax appeals.

    Provide information for audit related queries and property appraisers and ensure that monthly reporting deadlines are met.
    Support our Finance and Accounting team in the completion of annual budget and special projects.
    University degree in Accounting or a related field.
    Strong computer skills, including MS Excel and MS Word.
    Bilingual (French and English) would be an asset
