    Requirement:
    Import Coordinator


    Location:

    Shift:
    Day Shift - In Office


    Salary:
    $ $45000


    Responsibilities:
    Receive booking(s) from the origin offices
    Provide bookings details and follow up with customer updates, shipment pre-advice / pre-alerts (Trace shipments daily and update client/agent on the shipment status as per customer guidelines)
    Ensure Open files and ensure all documents are accurate and complete prior to the shipment departure date
    Ensure shipments are completed in a timely manner as per regulations.
    Transfer of arrival notices/manifest to customers and/or their nominated customs brokers

    Billing / Invoicing at the time of shipment arrival/delivery within 24-48 hours for all credit customers and receipt of funds for all COD customers prior to the release of freight.

    Review agreed on costs with agent invoices & approve payables within 72 hours of receipt or if discrepancies initiate and rectify any errors with origin offices/vendors.

    All files are reviewed and completed for month-end closing
    Ensure all requests are acknowledged within 24 hours of receipt and prepare quotations for agents (or clients when required)
    Prepare/updated client reports or alternative software ( i.e. Excel) as per required SOP on a daily/ weekly/ monthly basis and ensure accuracy of data/information.
    Providing best solutions to clients (when applicable ) to ensure the best option utilized with costs savings to clients and overall operations
    Co-ordination and inter-department communication to ensure all shipments have been taken care off


    Qualifications:
    Minimum of two years experience performing ocean import handling
    Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Ocean Import environment
    Strong attention to detail
    Strong analytical skills
    Customer-focused
    Ability to multi-task and remain organized
    Highly effective communication skills in person, by phone, and by email.

    $40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
