    Sheridan Nurseries Mississauga is actively searching for a:
    Seasonal Plant Sales Supervisor
    Permanent, Full Time

    The Seasonal Plant Sales Supervisor will be responsible for all product and live plant material within the Seasonal Plant Category, in addition to overseeing the upkeep and standards of excellence for their department while providing product knowledge and actively selling all category product and related tie-in items to guests.

    This includes annuals, perennials, tropical houseplants, flowering houseplants, herbs and vegetables, bulbs, water plants, custom design/floral, and cut branches.

    Provide leadership and direction to all Seasonal Plant Sales Associates, including holding all direct reports accountable while actively providing training, coaching, and mentorship.

    Be familiar with, and actively strive to achieve, store and Seasonal Plant Category sales targets.

    Oversee Seasonal Plant Category inventory and upkeep of plant material, ensuring quality standards are met while minimizing scrap, shrink, and aged inventory.

    Submit supplemental orders that allow for inventory levels to be maintained for maximum sales while also ensuring that inventory targets are met at year-end.

    Collaborate with receiving staff to ensure that all incoming Seasonal Plant shipments have been accurately verified, tagged/priced, and displayed on the sales floor.

    Work in conjunction with Store Management and the Joint Health & Safety Committee to ensure a safe work environment for all through active observations, hazard reporting, coaching on relevant health and safety best practices, and leading by example.

    Work collaboratively to ensure timely and accurate order pulling of Seasonal Plant Category product, along with the coordination and scheduling of plantings and deliveries in accordance with store directives and company policies.

    Previous experience in retail and/or horticulture.
    Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays as scheduled.
