    Position Summary

We currently have an exciting opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Medical Imaging Diagnostic Services department.

    Reporting to the Regional Director of Diagnostic Services, this position will be responsible for administering and maintaining quality assurance initiatives across Medical Imaging.

    The Quality Lead works in a team approach to achieve excellence in quality measurement and evaluation for all radiology modalities including working with radiologist workflows.

    This includes monitoring and auditing compliance with regulations and accreditation standards, specifically fulfilling the requirements of the Diagnostic Accreditation Program.

    The Quality Lead will conduct internal audits of quality control and compliance and lead QA initiatives as directed by accrediting bodies and the health authority.


    Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Days, 08:00 to 16:00 (Rotating)

    Qualfications


    • Completion of an accredited diploma program in Medical Radiation Technology, Sonography, Nuclear Medicine Technology, or a . in Diagnostic Imaging or equivalent.
    • Five (5) recent related experience including one (1) in a supervisory or teaching capacity or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
    • Current certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) or CARDUP, or ARDMS or other professional registration body.
    • Successful completion of approved supervisory and qualify control/quality assurance courses or an equivalent combination of training, and experience.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of regulations related to Medical Imaging and specifically the Diagnostic Accreditation Program (DAP) standards
    • Eligible for a valid Class V BC driver's license.

    • Demonstrates expert technical knowledge of quality assurance practices, standards, and guidelines.
    • Demonstrates knowledge of project management, and continuous quality improvement.
    • Demonstrates the skills required to implement effective change, while working with a broad range of stakeholders.
    • Demonstrates the ability to organize work, establish priorities, and assess risk.
    • Demonstrates the ability to integrate and evaluate pertinent data from multiple sources to problem solve and make effective decisions.
    • Ability to integrate best practice knowledge to support professional practice decisions and actions.
    • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
    • Ability to deal effectively with others, individually and in a team setting.
    • Knowledge of administrative structure and function of Medical Imaging departments of varying size.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of computerized systems relating to Medical Imaging and current software applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
