    JOB SUMMARY : Reporting to the Director of People and Culture, theHuman Resources Generalist is responsible for providing administrative andhuman resources support in several Human Resource functional area to ensuresuccess throughout the Agency and our First Nation Communities.

    What you willdo in the role

    · Coordinates and participates in the completestaffing and onboarding process in accordance with the Agency's polices andapplicable legislation.

    · Extensive travel throughout the districts to assistwith routine support and guidance to managers and employees on theinterpretation of policies and procedures.

    · Assist in coordinating the updating of jobdescriptions and policies in accordance with established guidelines.

    · Provide guidance and direction to managers on awide range of employee issues including corrective action and terminations.

    · Conduct workplace investigations and assistwith grievances and harassment complaints.

    · Routinely audit completed performanceevaluations and identified and report on learning need trends.

    · Manage all short term, long term and WSIBclaims.

    · Maintain the Agency's Human ResourcesInformation System (HRIS).

    · Assist with new project initiatives that arerelated to new or existing legislative requirements.

    · Participate as a member of the Joint Health andSafety Committee and ensure that all relevant documents and records aremaintained in accordance with legislative requirements and the Agency'spolicies and procedures.

    · Administer and record employee recognition andincentive programs.

    · Attend local professional meetings andmembership development meetings.

    What you bringto the table

    · Post-secondary degree or diploma in humanresources, business or other related discipline and a minimum of 3 years ofrelated experience.

    · Broad knowledge of all functional humanresources and recruitment programs and services.

    · Knowledge of current HR issues, trends, practices,and directions.

    · Solid understanding of all relevant provinciallegislation and regulations, and acts.

    · Standing member of the HRPA; CHRP designationconsidered an asset.

    · Excellent verbal and written communicationskills.

    · Excellent organizational and analytical skillsand abilities to prioritize multiple demands.

    · Experience conduction workplace investigationsand terminations.

    · Must demonstrate technical competence in avariety of MS applications ad HR software applications.

    · Must have experience working with first Nationspeople.

    · Must produce clear Criminal Record Check.

    · Ability to speak a native language considered amajor asset.

    · Ability to demonstrate initiative and workunder minimal supervision.

    · Ability to work flexible hours.

    · Experience working with unionized environment.
