    Description

    Director of Operations

    • Collaborate closely with company leadership and production team
    • Play a vital role as a proactive, on-site leader focusing on people leadership, continuous improvement, and supporting company growth

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee site production operations, project timelines, scheduling, and employee productivity
    • Foster inclusive team culture centered around safety, accountability, and teamwork
    • Lead safety initiatives by implementing safety program and monitoring safety performance
    • Provide effective people leadership by cultivating strong relationships with team members, subcontractors, and customers
    • Support construction teams to ensure efficiency and create a cohesive environment
    • Build trust with professional colleagues, subcontractors, and team members
    • Apply financial management experience to plan and manage project budgets
    • Mentor project team members and share knowledge
    • Engage in day travel to various locations within Greater Toronto area

    Qualifications & Attributes

    • University Degree/Technology Diploma in Construction/Building Renovation or relevant field
    • Track record of success in Project Management and Site Management roles
    • Demonstrated progressive experience in construction, preferably low-rise new construction
    • Competence in safety, workforce management, project execution, cost control, quality, and administration
    • Strong knowledge of construction techniques, building codes, and associated legislation
    • Excellent conflict resolution skills
    • Proficiency in MS Office including MS Project
    • Ability to navigate high-intensity environments with adaptability and resilience
    • High level of integrity, interpersonal skills, and ability to build consensus
    • Inspirational leadership style with strategic thinking and openness to innovation
    • Advanced analytical mindset with strong business acumen
    • Results-driven with excellent business planning skills
    • Proficient in risk management and issue resolution
    • Effective influencer and problem solver
