This position reports to the Director of Regulatory Affairs.
The incumbent is primarily responsible for providing label and packaging artwork reviews for a variety of food products that may be entering the Canadian Market.
Project management.Effective interpretation, application and clear communication of Canadian food regulations, guidelines and policies to clients and fellow team members is a must.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams such as Sales and Marketing, and Creative Services department.Some administrative tasks that include maintaining project files and archiving.
Staying up to date on food regulations pertaining to job function via mailing lists, journals, CFIA websites, attending webinars.
A minimum of a bachelor's degree (BSc) in Life Sciences, Nutrition, Food Science, or a related discipline.~ Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Food Science or related discipline (Master's preferred).
~3+ years' experience in Food Regulations, including labelling and packaging compliance. Cosmetic or other Consumer Product regulatory experience such as labelling compliance will be considered an asset.

Ability to effectively communicate technical knowledge in simpler terms.

Preference is given to applicants within Winnipeg, but open to remote applicants.
