- Managing the design process from concept to preliminary to detailed design.

- Experience managing engineering work with significant interfacing requirements with other engineering teams including Licensing, Safety Analysis, Civil / Structural, Electrical/I&C, and Process Control.
- Experience working within a Quality Management System (CSA N286), and quality standards (CSA N299).
- Experience managing and/or performing work under nuclear Codes and Standards such as CSA N285, ASME III.
- Experience in equipment and component design using ANSYS, COMPRESS, and/or other equivalent analysis codes.
- Experience in procurement, operation, and maintenance of nuclear & non-nuclear process equipment.
- Proven track record of performance in a dynamic, project delivery environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or a related field from an accredited University.
- Registered Professional Engineer in a Province of Canada, member in good standing.
- 10 years of analysis and design/ technical procurement experience in heavy industry equipment and components.
- 5 years nuclear and/or CANDU technology experience.
- 3 or more years of experience leading engineering teams.
- Experience working in a nuclear facility licensed in Canada is an asset.
- The Technical Manager will oversee the work of 20-30 engineering staff. Supervisory responsibilities include:
- Fostering a positive team environment where good performance is recognized and celebrated.

- Performing administrative tasks, e.g., timesheet approvals, vacation approvals.
- Supporting the Functional Management team (as requested) with:

The Technical Manager is a member of the Project Management Team (PMT) on the CANDU MONARK Project, responsible for leading a group of mechanical equipment engineers on the Standard Plant design, procurement, operation, and maintenance scope. The Technical Manager oversees the execution of design and technical activities in a project delivery environment in accordance with industry standards and established governance. The Technical Manager will report functionally to the Director, Process and Civil Engineering, and daily to the project Technical Director.
