About the client:

Our client is a leading Canadian food company known for its wide range of high-quality products, including meats, seafood, sandwiches, and specialty foods. Operating under several subsidiary brands, the company is committed to innovation and sustainability, setting industry standards in culinary excellence and responsible business practices.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a comprehensive cyber security strategy that aligns with our organizational goals.
Identify cyber risks, implement mitigation strategies, and develop incident response protocols.
Establish and maintain robust cyber security policies and standards to ensure data protection and compliance with regulations like GDPR and HIPAA.
Oversee the design and implementation of security systems and technologies to safeguard organizational assets.
Lead the development and execution of incident response plans to effectively handle security breaches.
Evaluate and oversee third-party security vendors to ensure they meet our security needs.
Recruit and manage a team of cyber security professionals, fostering a collaborative environment and clear role definitions.
Monitor and refine cyber security practices, reporting on key metrics to senior management.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field preferred; or equivalent industry experience.
Minimum of 8-10 years in cyber security leadership, with extensive experience managing complex security environments.
Industry certifications like CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly desirable.
Strong command of cyber security technologies, compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001), and modern security tools.
Proven leadership abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead and develop a team.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to address complex challenges.
Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time, both domestically and internationally.
Proficiency in English is required; written French is beneficial.
