    About this role
    We are recruiting for a Purchaser to join our Corporate Head Office in Burnaby. Here's how your role will strengthen our team.


    Your responsibilities

    • Maintain costs in material databases
    • Issue purchase orders for project materials
    • Collaborate with warehouse staff on inventory management database
    • Track and report product quality
    • Research and negotiate with suppliers and vendors
    • Generate regular reports on procurement activities
    • Assist all Estimators as necessary to obtain pricing for Estimates and Projects
    • Assist with the development and training for our procurement systems
    • Collaborate with Procurement team on strategies to reduce total inventory costs


    Your experience and skills

    • Post secondary education related to Purchasing or Supply Chain Management
    • Minimum 3 years experience as purchaser/buyer, preferably in the construction industry
    • Electrical or Electronics training or experience considered an asset
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, experience using JD Edwards an asset
    • Able to negotiate and mitigate risk
    • Strong communication skills and able to work with individuals in different areas of the company

    Salary range: $70,000-$90,000 per year     plus a competitive total compensation package. Actual salary will commensurate with experience, skills and overall match to the position offered. Let's chat throughout the hiring process and determine the best fit.
