    We are currently recruiting for a passionate, Senior Manager, Regional Estates to manage all regional wineries in Ontario. This role will be responsible for the achievement of goals and objectives by delivering retail sales and winery experiences that build brand loyalty while driving sustainable profitability and ensure programs and initiatives are aligned with brand strategies. The Senior manager, Regional Estates will be working with DTC to ensure our members feel valued and receive key benefits along with ensuring representation at key regional wine associations to build destination awareness, driving consumers to us. The senior Manager, Regional Estates rol will be working with key stakeholders on ensuring estate properties are maintained and adhere to safety regulations that support the wellbeing of our employees and guests.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Working with visitor experience managers, establish key plan deliverables including annual operational & temp labour objectives.
  • Design & implement estate experiences and key priorities to drive annual objectives. Work with estate partners to ensure experiences and hospitality (food service) are delivering acceptable margins to meet profit objectives. Identify and recommend/ implement margin enhancing opportunities throughout retail, experiences, and restaurant offerings.
  • Collaborating with brand to develop key messages and ensure destinations are well marketed and known as a place to visit within the community and out in the broader space (trip advisor etc.), as well as participating in related regional associations.
  • Working with brand on social media & PR to deploy destination marketing initiatives, consumer awareness campaigns and announcements / outreach for special events/ ticket sales.
  • Collaborate with Estate Manager and Talent Acquisition for key positions and assist with seasonal recruiting.Oversee the development of training materials to create an integrated, motivated team with a positive work environment fostering teamwork in driving required results. Daily, Weekly communications with team as well as management on initiatives.
  • Partnering with key internal stakeholders to identify capital needs and improvements to estate properties. Develop & submit CIM (Capital Investment Model) to support financial request(s). Work with various suppliers/ vendors on quotes, design plans, payment requests etc., to ensure approved projects are managed on time and within budget/scope.
  • Ongoing assessment of repairs and maintenance issues across estate properties.
  • Collaborating with DTC group to align on membership perks and estate responsibilities as it pertains to wine club benefits.Ensure all guests are well taken care of and we meet our sales objectives on memberships and enhance our retention rate.

    • Qualifications/ Experience/ Education

  • University Degree in Business or equivalent (preferred MBA)
  • 6-8 years in winery retail and hospitality as well as food service experience.
  • International Wine knowledge and experience
  • Proven strategic thinking and long term planning aptitude and track record
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Ability to clearly communicate with internal and external parties both verbally and in writing
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize under pressure
  • Passionate and highly motivate
  • Strong leadership background/experience
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Plus WSET 2 or 3

    • Compensation : Budgeted Range – ($111,460- $144,

    The budgeted range takes into account several factors and qualifications that are considered in making compensation decisions including experience, education, training, licenses, certifications, and other business and organizational requirements. Base pay is only one component of the total rewards offering at Arterra.
