    Talk Shop is looking for a PR expert with acute knowledge of the media landscape to support on a number of accounts, across the technology, lifestyle, and non-profit industries.

    You will be a key member of the PR team helping clients across a variety of industries grow by securing media coverage in high impact publications like the Globe and Mail, Wall Street Journal and Forbes.

    As an agency, we work with diverse clients in the technology, real estate, business and consumer industries.

    Salary will be based on experience level and annual bonus calculated as a percentage of total compensation, based on the business' performance.

    Talk Shop East (Toronto) - This is a hybrid role with the opportunity to work from home or a socially distanced and safe office space, as desired, as well as take advantage of our physical office when you'd like.

    A day in the life of an

    Account Associate:

    • Pursue bright ideas and seek solutions – if your pitch hasn't landed, you'll lead a discussion about why it may not have worked so that you and the Account Lead can build a plan on how to move forward
    • Proactively anticipate needs of accounts and have the ability to move initiatives forward
    • Write clear, concise press releases that capture media attention
    • Build smart media lists that will make pitching a success
    • Help design influencer engagement programs
    • Find and track the coverage secured so we can share the great news with our clients
    Excellent writing skills – ability to weave current events, policy news, trends, and data into insightful content for media consumption

    • Exceptional creativity – a great eye for a story, and ability to come up with creative ways to use communications to engage stakeholders
    • Extreme attention to detail – you take pride in the highquality, clientready work you produce
