The Director of Health Services is responsible for all aspects of the Health Services and Health Promotion and Chronic Disease Management (HPCDM) Components.
The Director of Health Services is responsible, through the management team, for the overall strategic and operational management of the Sandy Hill Community Health Centre.
The Director of Health Services is directly accountable to the Executive Director. The Director is responsible for meeting the licensing and regulatory requirements of their professional governing body, if one exists.Education and Language
Master's degree in Nursing, Health Administration or a comparable field
A clinical background in medicine, nursing or health promotion or a related field
Under the Centre's designation to provide
French Language Services:
French (oral expression): Advanced
French (oral comprehension): Advanced
French (reading comprehension): Fluency in English, both oral and written
Experience in managing and working with a multi-disciplinary team including medical and allied health professionals
Experience managing programs for people with complex health and social needs
Strong leadership, management and supervisory skills
Knowledge of the community-based health system
Knowledge of quality improvement and program evaluation methodology
Strong administrative and organizational skills
