    About Us

    The (SBP) provides central co-ordination and delivery of property management, information technology, procurement, project management, transportation, and other services to government ministries and agencies. The ministry integrates, co-ordinates and prioritizes infrastructure planning and delivery for the Province of Saskatchewan, and advances projects through contract oversight, innovative approaches, and alternative financing models as appropriate.

    The Opportunity

    The Health Infrastructure Branch within the Ministry is seeking three (3) highly motivated, results-oriented individuals to fill the position of Project Director.This position is the primary liaison between the Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement and the Ministry of Health and Saskatchewan Health Authority, regarding governance, health infrastructure projects and Cabinet/SaskBuilds Board-related items. The position will provide regular briefings and briefing materials to steering committees, and the Assistant Deputy Minister, the Deputy Minister and the Minister's offices.

    Ideal Candidate

    As the Project Director, you will:

  • Establish and lead project teams to ensure the success of the numerous projects, including developing individual work plans to ensure the project team is held accountable for responsibilities;
  • Coordinate and engage key stakeholders to ensure project alignment with programmatic outcomes;
  • Manage consultant and advisory services related to project deliverables;
  • Manage, organize, and orchestrate complex projects and programs from inception through to project close-out within approved parameters;
  • Provide strategic advice that informs executive decision-making;
  • Organize and prioritize work and balance multiple activities concurrently;
  • Work collaboratively and build consensus with a diverse group of stakeholders with demonstrated success in moving key stakeholders to a positive resolution;
  • Build and maintain collaborative professional relationships;
  • Create briefing packages, cabinet and board items; and
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including local communities, foundations, and ministries and partner agencies, to ensure key health outcomes are considered in the development of the projects.

    • Typically, the knowledge and experience required to achieve the above is obtained through a combination of:

  • A degree or certificate in business public administration, procurement, engineering, architecture, or a related discipline;
  • Knowledge of project management, project delivery, procurement, construction, contract administration and the healthcare sector; and
  • Procurement and Construction experience is an asset, and the preferred candidates will have demonstrated knowledge in one or both sectors.
