    Reporting to the Director, Continuous Improvement, the Senior Advisor will be responsible for optimizing operational and business processes to achieve VIA's objective of controlling the maintenance deficit.

    In collaboration with department managers, the Senior Advisor will support employees in identifying opportunities for process, system or automation improvements.

    The incumbent will also support internal partners in analyzing the impact of new processes, formulating recommendations, and advising various groups on implementation.

    He will be responsible for reconciling results in the field and regularly reporting on the progress of cost reduction and commitment objectives.


    Responsibilities:

    • Contribute to the implementation and management of a continuous improvement program that will allow all VIA employees in maintenance centers, stations, terminals, and offices to submit ideas for continuous improvement affecting various aspects of the organization and pillars of the strategic plan;
    • Responsible for the preparation and delivery of reports analyzing the results that have been measured and validated, as well as the delivery of dashboards illustrating the progress of automation projects and the costs and benefits generated by process optimization and automation projects;
    • Based on in-depth analysis and mapping of current processes and best practice data, reviews existing processes, identifies opportunities for improvement, evaluates and prioritizes needs to ensure standardization and operational optimization, all in line with VIA's strategic plan deliverables;
    • Support internal partners in developing timelines and action plans to ensure implementation of improvement projects and process changes;
    • Manage the communication and change management processes for enhancements and automation projects. Develop communication and change management plan with stakeholders and project status reports;
    • Draws on a range of working practices to implement solutions to complex problems in a timely manner, using creativity where appropriate. Integrates continuous improvement into daily activities, always considering internal controls and required governance.

    Requirements :

    • Bachelor of Engineering;
    • At least 8-10 years' of experience in process, system or automation improvement;
    • Strong experience in change management required (proven method, e.g. continuous improvement) as part of project delivery.
