    We continue to grow and today are looking for a committed, talented, star to join our team as our Assistant Social Media Manager .

    About the position

    The Assistant Social Media Manager will be responsible for ideation, content creation, execution, management and reporting of all social media channels designed to grow MadeGood's brand presence, follower base and engagement in Canada and the United States. The ideal candidate is a digital native who lives and breathes social media with experience in managing social media strategies, content creation, copywriting and analytics. This role interacts cross-functionally with the Brand Marketing, Digital Marketing teams to support their respective objectives while ensuring consistency in MadeGood's brand voice and tone. Your work will make a meaningful impact with a multi-talented team in North America (Toronto & Chicago).

    What you'll be doing at MadeGood

    Social Media Strategy

  • Work closely with the Content Manager, Brand Marketing, Digital Marketing, and other teams to develop a holistic social media strategy, campaigns and programs that encompass all brand initiatives.
  • Find new and exciting ways to engage followers via social media channels to drive awareness, conversation, and affinity.
  • Manage social media content calendar from conceptualization to execution, including developing content concepts
  • Contribute to developing overall influencer strategy across owned and paid channels
  • Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making, ensuring that insights from analytics inform both strategic and tactical decisions on content creation, community management and more
  • Content Creation

  • Create content that aligns with MadeGood's voice, tone, and brand guidelines. Ensure all content is applicable and encourages engagement on all social platforms while following industry best practices
  • Generate, edit and analyze content (original text, images, video, graphics, etc) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community member engagement
  • Work collaboratively with the Creative Team to create owned and paid content for our channels (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube)
  • Publishing and Community Management

  • Schedule posts to ensure consistent and optimal content delivery across various social media platforms
  • Coordinate with various teams and the Content Manager to incorporate campaigns, events, and product launches into the content calendar
  • Ensure all published content aligns with brand guidelines and maintains a cohesive brand image
  • Oversee the scheduling, uploading, and optimization of content across social media platforms
  • Maintain contact with Customer Service team to exchange information on customer feedback and sentiments, using them as insights for content creation and social media strategy as needed
  • Analytics and Reporting

  • Ownership of all analytics and reporting across social channels. Responsible for identifying trends, outlining key learnings and recommendations for channel health, audience growth, engagement, and influencer strategy
  • Contribute insights and analytics data for regular weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports; confidently and persuasively present and sell findings in meetings with team members and senior leadership
  • Analyze effective benchmarks for measuring impact of social media efforts to determine campaign effectiveness through relevant monitoring tools
  • Track and monitor KPIs in real-time to optimize and pivot strategies, tactics and content development
  • Keep up to date on key industry trends, competitive insights and emerging social and digital technologies and find innovative ways to apply these to the brand
  • Who you are

    You are a platform expert: you use your knowledge of social media, and the audiences that engage with content online to ensure that we create work for the right channels and platforms, and at the right moments. You ensure that work is inspired by, and made for the right audiences, and you listen to the conversations online to help inform the work that we do. Every day, you keep your finger on the pulse of online conversations to identify reactive social opportunities that fit each brand's values and personality. You understand a brand's passion points to make recommendations for proactive social content. You work with teams and individuals at all levels to ensure that we have well thought out purpose, strategy, and tone, for our social media presence.

    Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Media Studies, Social Media or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in social media marketing and managing various social channels, ideally for a CPG or lifestyle brand
  • Proven track record of generating and executing social media campaigns across platforms while growing audiences and delivering on metrics
  • Solid background analyzing data and metrics to measure performance and build on strategy; Social listening experience is an asset
  • Strong content creation skills, especially for video content optimized for mobile audiences
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to create editorial content in real-time for all social channels
  • Experience managing influencer campaigns, either from an in-house team or working with 3rd party firms/agencies
  • Experience using social media listening platforms and social management tools (e.g. Agorapulse, Brandwatch, Sprout Social, Meta Business Manager, etc.), and in-depth knowledge of platform best practices.
  • Must hold a valid passport with ability to travel between the United States and Canada
  • Proficient in creating visual presentations (PowerPoint or Keynote).
  • Proficient in utilizing basic video editing tools, such as CapCut, and at ease in front of the camera across various formats, ranging from Reels to YouTube
  • Skills & Abilities

  • A history of being able to work with creative teams and strategists, providing expertise and influencing the brand's strategy online.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and build trust with senior executives and drive alignment with cross-functional teams.
  • Resourceful and results driven, with a can-do attitude that thrives in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment; ability to quickly adapt to changing needs for a rapidly growing company
  • A love and deep understanding of social culture, memes, and trends.
  • Strong project management skills, with high attention to detail. Must be able to prioritize, adapt, and multi-task without compromising attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with a high level of initiative
  • Excellent presentation skills and communication skills in a group environment.
