    Description

    Our client has been instrumental in shaping the landscape of personal injury and insurance law in Ontario since the early 1950's, representing numerous insurers and corporate entities across Canada and delivering unparalleled legal services with a focus on excellence and efficiency.

    Presently, they are in search of an insurance defence Legal Assistant/Law Clerk to join their growing team.

    Taking a client-centric approach, the insurance defence Legal Assistant/Law Clerk will be primarily responsible to:

    Assist lawyers with all aspects of insurance defence litigation, including drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, and managing case files.

    Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, and other relevant parties to facilitate the progression of legal matters.
    Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including billing and time entries.

    Minimum 2 years of experience working as a legal assistant or law clerk in insurance defence litigation.
    Successful completion of a Law Clerk Diploma or Legal Assistant Certificate from an accredited institution
    Proficiency in legal research, document drafting, and case management software.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach to legal practice.
