    Description
    NextStar Energy (NSE) is an innovative joint venture company between LG and Stellantis.

    It will be Canada's first large-scale lithium-ion battery production plant when it begins production at the Twin Oaks site in Windsor, Ontario.

    The manufacturing facility will have an annual targeted production capacity in excess of 49 gigawatt hours and will create an estimated 2,500 new jobs in Windsor and the surrounding areas.

    This state-of-the-art facility will be the first of its kind in Canada and is being built with the goal of becoming the foremost battery hub in North America.

    As a Public Relations Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in NextStar Energy's brand image, managing its reputation, and establishing strong relationships with media, stakeholders, and the public.

    You will play a key role in bolstering NextStar Energy's reputation as a leader in EV battery production.


    Responsibilities:
    Execute a public relations strategy to manage the organization's external image and media relations.

    Develop and maintain relationships with the media, crafting communications materials including press releases, key messages, pitching stories, and responding to media inquiries to ensure positive coverage and manage the organization's public image.

    Create and disseminate compelling content across multiple channels (press releases, social media, newsletters) to communicate NSE's innovations, achievements, and contributions to sustainable energy solutions.

    Manage crisis communication, prepare spokespersons, and act as a key media contact.
    Analyze and report on the effectiveness of PR initiatives, adjusting strategies as needed to meet objectives.

    Developing effective communication plans and key messages to support the business goals of the organization, while incorporating our neighbors and community, using creative written and visual strategic communications for the plant.


    Requirements:
    ~5 years of working experience in this field.
    ~ Associate's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
    ~ Proven experience in public relations, public affairs, or a similar role, preferably in the energy sector or technology industries.
    ~ Strong understanding of media relations
    ~ Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills.
    ~ Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
    ~ Strategic thinker with a knack for storytelling and engaging diverse audiences.
    ~ G-Suite & or MS-Office knowledge and experience.
    ~ Ability to work any shift and overtime as required.
    ~ Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
    ~ Goal oriented self-starter with ability to a lead team.
