Classification and Salary :
Administrative Support 2 (AS2) – Visitor Services Attendant:
Based on 40 hours per week: $ $24.26 per hour
Administrative Support 3 (AS3) – Visitor Services Attendant Crew Lead:
Based on 40 hours per week: $ $26.81 per hour
In addition to regular wages, regular Wage employees receive 11.2% in lieu of benefits and vacation leave:
• 5.2 percent of regular wage earnings instead of paid holidays
• 6 percent of regular wage earnings instead of annual vacation pay
In addition to the regular wages and the additional pay in lieu of benefits and vacation, regular wage employees are entitled to shift premium pay:
• $3.25 per hour for weekends and holidays
• $2.75 per hour for evenings

Fish Creek Provincial Park , located in Calgary, is one of the largest urban protected areas in Canada and is enjoyed by millions of visitors annually.
The park is home to the Sikome Aquatic Facility , a popular outdoor recreation swimming area that includes a large artificial lake with treated water, sand beach, a small concession and beach retail shop. A dedicated team of Lifeguards (Safety Ambassadors) and Visitor Service Attendants provide outstanding service to Sikome visitors.
Role Responsibilities

We are currently looking to hire :
• 15 Visitor Services Attendants
• 3 Visitor Services Attendant Crew Leads
As a Visitor Services Attendant, duties and responsibilities include :
• Daily opening and closing of facility work areas
• Greet visitors, monitor entry and exit gates, carry out voluntary bag checks, provide relevant daily information and direct to appropriate payment kiosks
• Process payments for admissions, retail merchandise items using approved Government of Alberta procedures and Point-of Sales (POS) systems
• Reconcile POS receipts and cash sales at end of each shift
• Prepare and process payment for concession items as required by Safe Food Handling Guidelines
• Clean and sanitize concession counters, equipment, prep areas as required throughout shifts
• Restock, rotate and maintain retail and concession inventory
• Assist with crowd control, enforcing facility regulations and emergencies as directed
• Assist customers with information requests and complaint resolutions
• Light manual labour and janitorial duties such as moving and cleaning concession equipment, washing floors, sweeping, recycling, changing garbages, cleaning washrooms, vacuuming, picking up garbage and debris on the beach etc.
• Other duties as assigned

As a Visitor Services Attendant Crew Lead duties and responsibilities include :
In addition to Visitor Services Attendant responsibilities listed above, Visitor Services Attendant Crew Leads are also responsible for administrative and supervisory duties which include but are not limited to:
• Prepare facility for seasonal opening – cleaning and set up of buildings, offices, safety boards, storage/staging areas, assessment and replenishment of equipment (concession equipment, POS equipment, communication equipment etc.), prep and update files, required forms and manuals
• Assist with hiring, set up and conduct seasonal staff orientations, training and competency evaluations
• Manage day to day work flow and priorities
• Daily supervision of Visitor Service Attedants in all aspects of job performance and operational requirements including staff scheduling, performance coaching, mentoring and conducting performance reviews and assisting staff with access to required systems
• Reconcile daily revenue, balance floats, prepare bank deposits / cash pickups
• Provide supervision coverage to Safety Ambassadors in absence of a Safety Ambassador Crew Lead
• Perform required Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) requirements such as completion of facility and vehicle inspections, update safe work procedures, hazard assessments and emergency procedures, staff training, incident reporting, WCB reporting etc
• Assist facility staff with visitor complaint/conflict resolution
• Order, pickup and maintain inventory for required equipment, stock and supplies
• Enter and maintain employee records (training, performance, attendance records, payroll information etc.) into appropriate systems
• Maintain facility statistics and daily reports
• Working weekly scheduled Visitor Service Attendant shifts is required. Cover breaks and vacant shifts as required when not on rotation.
• Prepare facility for seasonal closing
• Assist supervisor with other tasks as assigned
