    Who are we looking for?

    We ́re looking for a Finance Business Partner to join our Finance team in Waterloo. This is a partnering role, working closely with non-finance business leaders to provide forward looking analysis/guidance, commercial insights and support of ad hoc queries. As a member of the team, the role will work closely with the Products and Platforms team, Digital Finance and Americas Financial Controllers to provide proactive support in the financial and management accounting requirements of the business. This will include building capability around technical delivery, project and client outcomes, all aspects of establishing cost reporting, analysis, budgeting and reporting.

    Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

  • Drive optimal financial performance by partnering with the business, providing financial management and insight, analysing, interpreting and explaining key performance indicators.
  • Provide trusted financial advice to key stakeholders to align business direction, financial strategies, utilising a variety of data sources to support sound decision making.
  • Conduct analytical reviews on project budget/effort and engage with various levels of management for discussion to facilitate decision making.
  • Perform Month- End process by ensuring timely, accurate closure, preparing financial statements including actual v budget analysis and collaborating with local teams.
  • Manage revenue reconciliation by ensuring accurate revenue recognition, validating criteria and resolving discrepancies.
  • Annual Budget preparation and monthly forecasting.
  • Develop and improve work processes and activities ensuring compliance with key policies and framework relating to financial management.
  • Assist in review of product pricing decisions.
  • Assist in addressing queries from corporate and external auditors.
  • Responsible for Contract Management

    • What you will bring to the team:

  • Bachelor degree, accounting major.
  • Pursing or completed CPA/CA qualification or equivalent.
  • 7+ years experience in Financial Accounting.
  • 3+ years experience in SaaS business.
  • Experience in developing, analyzing and reporting to Budgets and Forecasts.
  • Experience with SaaS based accounting, billing, reporting and forecasting.
  • Ability to operate under ambiguity and develop new ideas and business solutions with experience in implementing and embedding new systems considered favorably.
  • Proven ability to influence, manage and prioritize across diverse stakeholders.
  • Highly developed communications skills, both oral and written.
  • Advanced skills in excel and Microsoft office suite.
