    Job Description

    The House of Commons Digital Services and Real Property is currently looking to staff the Project Officer position.

    We are looking for a someone to join our team and help deliver important projects that keep things running smoothly. You'll be a key player in handling various aspects of large-scale IT projects that are crucial to our organization. The Project Officer supports Senior Project Managers and or Product Delivery Manager on various IT Projects.

    • Qualifications

    Education :

  • Community College or University degree in either Computer Science, Engineering, Project Management OR an acceptable combination of post-secondary education with relevant experience.

    • Experience :

  • Experience in planning and coordinating various parts of medium sized projects, in areas such as data, operations, telecommunications, wireless, applications, multimedia, infrastructure, facilities, or security;
  • Experience supporting Senior Project Managers in the delivery of projects during their lifecycle;
  • Experience developing briefings, presentations and reports on the progress of the project;
  • Experience identifying issues and problems in the project and reporting them to Senior Project Manager or management;
  • Experience collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders to drive project success, demonstrating strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.

    • Assets :

  • A Project Management Professional certification (PMP), or a PMP in progress
  • A Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)
