    ABOUT KINGSWAY COLLEGE SCHOOL (KCS)

    With much excitement, KCS has extended the vision and impact of our elementary school. We've developed a distinctly enriched and are seeking a secondary school teacher who is passionate about computer studies and math as we begin year three at our Lake Shore Senior School campus.

    Subjects include: Computer Studies, Computer Science, and intermediate/senior math.

    We seek faculty who are passionate about these subject areas and excited by the variety of opportunities inherent in a small and growing school.

    YOUR OPPORTUNITY

    This is a permanent position. KCS offers an excellent compensation package upon hire. Your anticipated start at KCS would be August .

    YOUR CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engage as a collaborative, flexible, co-creator of a school experience that delivers extraordinary learning and growth
  • Design and lead instruction
  • Serve as a Faculty Advisor to a group of students over their four years of secondary school.
  • As one of your dedicated teaching lines you will participate in the Advisor and KCS Path Program, supporting student-driven learning
  • Lead and/or support a minimum of 2 clubs and teams per year.
  • Assist with school-wide events
  • Engage in ongoing professional learning, and share that learning to support achievement of the mission
  • Work with the Head of Senior School and Assistant Head of Senior School to establish a community where all demonstrate the KCS Habits of Mind, Body and Action
  • Work according to the standards in the KCS Habits of Mind, Body and Action
  • Other duties as required

    • YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

    Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Education plus extensive record of professional learning, both formal and informal
  • Can demonstrate school-based experience, including secondary school
  • Evident engagement in continuous improvement efforts
  • Strong in community-building, communication skills, critical thinking, initiative, flexibility, and attention to detail
  • Enthusiasm for the KCS mission and vision, including how they will be realized in the Senior School.
  • OCT qualifications are an asset.
  • Experience outside the educational sector is also viewed as an asset.
