    Our client is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its outstanding team in Brampton, Ontario as they continue to expand.

    Reporting to the General Counsel and working closely with business leaders, the Legal Counsel will play an essential role in providing legal guidance to the business mainly related to financial services (real estate financing, equipment financing, and invoice factoring) and real estate transactions (acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and development), as well as a variety of general corporate commercial work.

    This is an excellent opportunity to get exposure to the legal and business sides of a fantastic business, doing a wide variety of interesting and sophisticated work with a best-in-class team.

    Provide legal support on secured and unsecured lending transactions including real estate and equipment financings – negotiate and prepare security and related loan documents
    Provide legal support on real estate matters (acquisitions, dispositions, development, and leasing)
    General corporate commercial work including negotiating and drafting relevant commercial agreements, resolutions, governance, and corporate entity maintenance and compliance
    Provide legal support to various business arms including insurance, hospitality and franchising
    3-6 years of relevant experience (financial services and/or real estate) gained in a law firm and/or in-house environment
