    Responsibilities:

    Strategic Recruitment: Spearhead the recruitment of international students by showcasing SJK's distinctive educational opportunities and the benefits of an education in Canada. Prioritize boarding capabilities while aiming to diversify our international student body.

    Admissions Consultation and Process Guidance: Offer consultation to agents, prospective students and their families to navigate barriers and highlight the benefits of an SJK education, guiding them through our admissions process with clear communication on expectations and values.

    Marketing and Diversification Strategy Development: Craft and implement a robust international student marketing and diversification strategy that targets key international markets, using demographic data, market trends, and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for growth and diversification.

    Digital Marketing and Engagement: Leverage digital platforms for targeted marketing campaigns that promote SJK's academic strengths and values and engage with prospective and current international students through various digital and social media channels.

    Collaborative Assessment Design: In collaboration with the Director, Enrolment, create an interview and assessment framework specifically designed for international students, designed for the unique needs of our target markets, incorporating virtual exams to accommodate the needs of applicants from different regions.

    Market Expansion: Proactively explore and develop new international markets in Asia, Europe, Africa and Latin America. Establish and maintain relationships with reputable agents and represent SJK at international enrolment and recruitment events.

    Alumni and Community Engagement: Work with the Alumni and Advancement office to engage international alumni through culturally sensitive communication strategies to build a supportive community and foster long-term relationships with SJK.

    Requirements:

    Experience: Proven track record in international student recruitment, marketing, and strategy development, preferably in an educational setting.

    Skills: Strong strategic planning, marketing, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with diverse populations.

    Knowledge: Deep understanding of international education markets, trends, and challenges faced by international families relocating for education.

    Education: A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.

    Travel: Global travel to represent SJK at various recruitment and other events is a component of this role.

    The ideal candidate will bring a strategic vision for international student recruitment backed by experience in developing marketing strategies that resonate with diverse global audiences. This role demands a candidate proficient in enrollment management and skilled in crafting messages highlighting the unique advantages of an SJK education to a worldwide audience.

    School Description:

    SJK is the leading co-educational independent school in the Waterloo Region of Ontario. The School, which was founded in , is located on a beautiful 36-acre natural campus offering enriched educational programming for day students from JK-Grade 12 and international boarding students from Grades 9-12 through our accredited International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme. The School's co-ed Boarding Residence is located close to the University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University.

    This full-time, onsite position is based at St. John's-Kilmarnock School. This is a 12-month position, as the summer months are critical for planning and preparation. The compensation package will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
