    The Village of Coleman Care located in Barrie, Ontario has an exciting opportunity for a CASUAL Recreation Team Member to join their Long Term Care REC Team.

    Role requires availability SUPPORTS every other weekend.

    • As a New Recreation Team Member, you will:

  • Completed Diploma or Degree in Recreation/Leisure studies and/or gerontology from a community college or university
  • Display a caring and respectful attitude toward our residents, families, and team members

    • As a new Recreation Team Member (REC) joining our Retirement Village Team it would be an ASSET but not required for you to having the following:

  • Experience facilitating group activities and programs
  • Experience facilitating group activities
  • Have exceptional time management skills and ability to work in collaboration with a team
  • Support and embrace our resident-centred social culture and be proud to deliver the highest quality of customer service to our residents
  • Knowledge of the five domains in Therapeutic Recreation that contribute to an individual's health
  • Knowledge of recreational therapy practices, methods, techniques and opportunities to improve resident's well-being and holistic health
