    Description

    Our partner is a top financial organization located in Vancouver, embarking on a significant software modernization endeavor. They seek a skilled Project Manager / Scrum Master to join their Enterprise Delivery team and lead this transformative long-term project.

    Job Summary:

    The Project Manager / Scrum Master will oversee the software modernization initiative to ensure successful delivery in line with strategic business objectives. This role demands expertise in both traditional project management and Agile Scrum methodologies, strong leadership, and the ability to drive change in a complex organizational setting.

    Key Duties:

    • Lead the software modernization effort from start to finish, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
    • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
    • Establish and maintain effective project governance structures.
    • Facilitate Agile ceremonies like daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews.
    • Mentor and coach team members on Agile principles and practices.
    • Remove obstacles and ensure the team has necessary resources to meet sprint goals.

    Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring clear communication.
    • Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular project updates.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives.

    Team Coordination:

    • Coordinate cross-functional teams, ensure effective collaboration and resource allocation.
    • Foster a high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement and accountability.
    • Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles hindering team progress.

    Risk and Issue Management:

    • Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies.
    • Ensure timely issue resolution and communicate risks to stakeholders.

    Project Delivery Enhancement:

    • Drive improvements in project delivery methodologies and processes.
    • Implement best practices for project management and Agile Scrum.
    • Measure and report on project performance for continuous improvement.

    Requirements:

    Experience: At least 10 years in project management and Scrum Master roles, with a proven track record in leading complex software development projects. Experience in the financial sector is preferred.

    Skills:

    • Proficient in project management and Agile Scrum methodologies and tools.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Experience with Temenos Banking Solutions or similar products.
