    Camps
    at Appleby College provide co-educational opportunities to develop advanced
    skills and promote interactive skills among participants. Each Appleby
    camp has the use of superb facilities and offers access to excellent
    instruction. Our programs emphasize individual development,
    participation, co-operation, and fun

    the highest standards of safety, supervision, and quality programming.
    Appleby College offers the following Camp Programs: Early Discovery Camp,
    Arts & Media Camp, Sports & Adventure Camp, and Science & Success

    Under
    the supervision of the Head Instructor, the Volunteer Instructor will provide
    assistance within a specific program area. The Volunteer
    Instructor will participate as part of a team offering support and ensuring an
    enjoyable experience for all campers.

    Specific
    Accountabilities:

    • Work closely with the Head
      Instructor, providing support within assigned area
    • Work co-operatively and participates
      in all activities of the camp program
    • Observe, promote all rules and
      regulations established for the program, including Appleby's Mutual
      Respect policy
    • Ensure the safety and supervision of
      all campers

    Knowledge
    and Skills:

    • Appropriate behavior at all times
    • Team oriented, motivational and
      creative
    • Energetic and enthusiastic
    • Good communication skills
    • Strong ability to work well with
      others and follow direction
    • Standard First Aid and CPR - C

    Workplace
    Requirements:

    • As a condition of employment, a
      criminal record check with a vulnerable sector screening is required for
      those over 18 yrs. of age and/or declaration for minors if under 18 yrs.
    • Valid Standard First Aid and CPR – C
      (certified on, or after Sept is required

      College Camps in previous years
    • Indicate the age group of youth that
      you would prefer to work
    • Indicate your area of interest
      (specific sports, specific arts, etc.)
