    • Prepare and submit required permit applications during the remainder of construction, and into the operations phase, ofthe Site C Project. This requires a strong understanding and compliance of the relevant provincial and federal legislationand permitting requirements.
    • Manage overall program and coordinate across business groups to ensure all required regulatory reporting, includinginternal reviews and approvals, is efficiently coordinated and delivered.
    • Develop and maintain document standards; maintain document control over the permitting/ regulatory requirements andassociated reports; monitor and deliver the schedule as it relates to obtaining, managing and reporting on permits andauthorizations.
    • Engage with Regulators directly regarding, permitting, compliance, and reporting. This is expected to involve leadingmaintenance/growth of a strong relationship with Regulators and seeking ways to streamline regulatory approvals.
    • Ensure document quality assurance; participate in and help manage the review of technical documents; seek peer orexpert review for quality, accuracy and adequacy.
    • Participate in meetings with multi-disciplinary internal and external project team, government agencies and regulators, andensure tracking and follow up on commitments and action items.
    • Integrate with other disciplines through pro-active communication, team meetings, work planning and informationexchange. Drive to ensure disciplines meet delivery and quality timelines for required regulatory processes.
    • Collate, develop, review and deliver materials for consultation, technical analysis and permitting/ compliancedocumentation.
    • Complete relevant research and technical analysis; identify need for, collect and use primary and secondary data.

    What you bring
    • Graduate degree relevant to environment, natural resources, community or land use planning, and 8 year relevantexperience based on the duties listed.
    • An equivalent combination of qualifications and experience may be considered.
    • Demonstrated experience with permitting, permit compliance and regulatory reporting.
    • Eligibility for professional designation an asset (e.g., R.P.Bio., RPF, MCIP, PMP).
    • Must be available for travel, sometimes overnight to remote areas.
    • Strong technical research, writing and editing skills required.
    • Strong skills in: 1) document management using software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and; 2) databases(Access) to track all requirements.

    • Please note this is a full-time permanent (FTR) P3 M&P opportunity. This position is headquartered in Edmonds, butinitially will operate out of Dunsmuir. There will be frequent travel required to the Site in Fort St. John in this role.
    • Please note some travel will be required in the role. It is expected there will be occasional travel with overnight trips.
    • A condition of employment for this job is that you maintain your Class 5 or equivalent Driver's License in good standing.
    • Site C will be the third dam and hydroelectric generating station on the Peace River in northeast BC.

      The project willprovide 1,100 megawatts (MW) of capacity and about 5,100 gigawatt hours (GWh) of energy each year to the province'sintegrated electricity system.

      Project components include an earth fill dam, diversion tunnel, generating station, spillway andassociated structures, an 83-kilometre-long reservoir, re-alignment of six sections of Highway 29, and two 77-kilometretransmission lines along an existing right-of-way connecting Site C to Peace Canyon.
