    Remote Hybrid Client ProfileOur client, a reputable Toronto firm is currently looking for a Financial Services Legal Assistant. This firm has an excellent culture and a lot of career development opportunities. An International Corporate Law Firm specializing in business law.
    Recognized in the 2023 edition of Lexpert.

    Office conveniently located in Toronto's Financial District Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Provide legal administrative support to two Partners within busy firm;
    • Prepare legal documents from written, oral and taped instructions and precedents;
    • Draft cover letters and routine correspondence;
    • Liaise information and instructions from clients to lawyers;
    • Coordinate meetings, conferences, and travel for lawyers;
    • Assist with docketing and billing;
    • Managing bring forward system and keeping lawyer apprised of matters in office/remote;
    • Open / close / maintain legal files; and
    • Assist with other administrative duties as needed

    Requirements:

    • 4+ years of Corporate legal administrative experience working in a law firm; Diploma in Legal Administration from an accredited institution; Experience in legal billing and/or would be a big asset here Understanding of Corporate legal terminology and applicable statutes; Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills
