    Compensation: $40.00 to $45.00 hourly

    Robert Half client in Commercial Real Estate is looking for an experienced Property Accountant to join their team. The Property Accountant will manage a portfolio of properties in Canada and the US, offering a great opportunity for career growth. This is a contract position with potential for extension and/or permanent placement.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:


    • Responsible for timely and accurate completion of consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including journal entries, expense accruals, and balance sheet analysis.

    • Prepares reporting packages for senior management.

    • Reviews trial balances from 3rd party property managers and conducts analysis.

    • Prepares forecasts and collaborates with senior management.

    • Handles HST returns, bank reconciliations, and consolidation of budgets.

    • Provides financial statements to mortgage lenders as needed.

    • Prepares working papers for annual review engagements.

    • Assists with ad hoc requests from Controller and Senior Management.

    Job Requirements:


    • Preference for candidates with a CPA designation.

    • Experience with Yardi Voyageur is required.

    • Intermediate to advanced MS Excel knowledge is necessary.

    • 3-5 years of property accounting experience is preferred.

    • Ability to work independently and as a team player in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

    • Self-motivated individual with a positive attitude.
