Boys & Girls Clubs Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton & Area is an organization that believes in the promise of all children. Our team works with community volunteers, partners and other supporters to create safe environments for children to be between school and home and to provide caring mentoring relationships for children and youth. Now, more than ever, the kids in our community need us and we are looking for great staff to join our team._

Boys & Girls Clubs Big Brothers Big Sisters is seeking individuals interested in the following position(s):

Guitar Instructor

Positions: 1 position
Status: Contract
March to June 202
Salary Range: $50.00 per session

The key responsibilities of this position will include:_**- Instructing small group guitar lessons with children and youth at club sites.

Developing lessons that are appropriate for instructing students of various ages and musical abilities.
Completing assessments of each student's abilities, learning style and personality to best assist their musical goals.
Building relationships with children and youth to help them succeed musically and personally.
Creating a safe space for students to learn, flourish and gain confidence.
Following all safety and cleaning protocols set out by AHS and the agency in order to safely run programming.
Understanding of their instrument and music theory.
12 years' experience teaching music lessons.
Demonstrated good communication skills.
Ability to manage time with children effectively and be results oriented.
Demonstrated an understanding of others and the ability to facilitate groups of children.
Ability to function independently and as part of a team.
A Police Information Check and Child Intervention Record Check no more than 6 months old are conditions of hire.

Wednesdays from 5:45pm-7:15pm (Tweddle Club a Ave)
