    Description

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    The Purchasing Clerk position will be responsible for:

    Purchasing Expertise
  • support the purchasing team with contacting and sourcing vendors
  • create and issue purchase documents
  • identify, evaluate, and escalate risks that could affect project deliverables and schedule
  • communicate with vendors and resolve discrepancies in price, quantity, quality, and delivery dates
    • Logistics Support
  • assist with shipping and logistics by obtaining quotes and preparing all related shipping documentation
    • Accounting Support
  • support the accounting department with daily matching of packing slips, purchase orders, and other related documents with invoices
    • Organization
  • build out and maintain processes to keep files organized and easily accessible.
  • monitor and maintain inventory systems
  • maintain the vendor database; ensure that purchase records and documentation are up-to-date

    • ABOUT YOU

    The ideal candidate will have:

  • post-secondary education in Business, Accounting or related field, or equivalent experience
  • awareness of construction, material specifications, tools, and equipment
  • outstanding communication skills
  • a high proficiency with the Office 365 suite, especially Excel
  • an ability to meet deadlines, manage your time, and stay organized
  • a proactive approach to problem solving
  • experience in an architecture, construction, or manufacturing industry an asset
