- Recent, related experience is advantageous.
- Current experience in Emergency nursing is preferred.
- Satisfactory employment record is a must.
- Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program is mandatory.
- Successful completion of WRHA Emergency Nursing Orientation (ENO) training Level 1 within (2) months of hire date with remaining level 2 and 3 completed within (12) months of hire and all other mandatory training within 24 months.
- Maintain registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
- Active participation in professional associations like the Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) is preferred.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training at the Healthcare Provider level is essential.
- Possession of appropriate Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) certification is beneficial.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) training is advantageous.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) training is a plus.
- Trauma Nursing Core course (TNCC) is beneficial.
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric course (ENPC) is valuable.
- Emergency Practice, Interventions and Care (EPICC) Foundations course is beneficial.
- Emergency Practice, Interventions and Care (EPICC) Trauma course is advantageous.
- Bilingualism is required (English/French).
- Demonstrated knowledge of various standards and codes within the nursing profession.

Position Overview
As a Registered Nurse (RN) under the supervision of the Manager, Patient Care, you will be responsible for offering professional nursing services to patients, especially those with complex health needs. Your role will involve independent nursing services, administering medical treatments, taking a leadership position within the healthcare team, and enhancing patient care coordination and discharge processes. Show your commitment to the vision, values, goals, and objectives of the region/facility/unit.
Experience
**Emergency Nursing Orientation is a full-time program. Orientees must participate full-time during Level 1, 2, and 3 training periods.

**The candidate must have sufficient French language proficiency to engage in in-depth conversations with patients and families. Language skills will be assessed to determine proficiency level. Contact the Human Resources Department for details.
