    False Creek Healthcare Centre a division of Clearpoint Health Network is recruiting for a Clinical Nurse Manager

    Reporting to Clinical Director, the Clinical Nurse Manager Operating Room is responsible for effective, efficient, and safe patient care services while managing human and environmental resources for the operating room and PACU.

    As the Nurse Manager, you are responsible for the clinical practice of all professional staff (RN's and LPN/RPN's), and ancillary support staff for the surgical facility.

    The Nurse Manager will act in accordance with the ORNAC standards and scope of practice pertaining to the peri-operative patient as well as in accordance with facility policy and procedure.

    Evaluates current practice through quality and performance improvement measures
    Coordinates, facilitates, and manages change within the facility
    Operationally and fiscally manage the perioperative services of the department
    Protects patients and team members by adhering to infection control policies, medication administration and storage procedures and controlled substances regulations
    Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and participating in professional societies
    Graduate of a recognized Nursing Program
    Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN), in good standing with the provincial regulatory body/college of nurses
    Completion of an accredited peri-operative nursing program a requirement with 3-5 years in the intra-operative environment
    General computer proficiency, including the use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
    Manages relationships, influences and displays grace under fire
    Knowledge of the medical industry's legislation and guidelines
    A high level of clinical training and proficiency
    Solid business acumen, understand budgeting, coordinate schedules, improve patient satisfaction and handle staff issues
    Knowledge of best practice and college/accreditation standard on quality and patient safety
    Ability to build strong physician relationships, collegiality and networking ability

    Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption on a medical ground pursuant to the British Columbia Human Rights Code.
