- Create, organize, plan and present various forms of onboarding; orientation, and skills training for new hires, while continuously improving the onboarding process.
- Develop unique training programs to address specific needs to cultivate job skills.
- Create training manuals, guides, e-learning programs, and course materials.
- Conduct needs assessments through surveys, interviews and other creative means.
- Support the onboarding strategy of MacDon focusing on competency development, business skills and leadership skills training.
- Source trainers and programs to support training requirements, providing recommendations.
- Conduct policy training and strategize policy rollouts utilizing change management principles.
- Present training and development programs using various formats including; group discussions, lectures, simulations, and videos in person, recorded and virtually.
- Maintain records of training and development activities.
- Provide coaching and assess training materials prepared by instructors.
- Evaluate program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback.
- Participates in HR initiatives and projects occasionally, and other duties as required. You and Your Experience:
- 3 – 5 years experiences training both in-person and virtually
- Post-secondary education in Business, or a related field – certificate in Adult Continuing education is preferred.
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, communication and relationship building skills.
- Proven ability to develop and successfully implement training programs.
- Instructional design skills and ability to use e-learning tools is considered an asset.
- Strong time-management skills and the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Ability to work with all levels of the organization.
- Must be advanced in all MS Office tools; specifically Power Point and Excel.
- Skill with video editing tools and design like Premier Pro, Canva Pro is an asset.
- Human Resources Management Certification (CHRP) considered an asset.
- Change Management, Project Management, Coaching, or Emotional Intelligence certification is an asset.
