    Outside Sales Representative - London, ON, Canada - Watson Building Supplies a GMS Company

    Position Summary:

    We are currently looking for an experienced and motivated sales professional to join our Southwest Ontario team as an Outside Sales Representative.

    The selected candidate will work to ensure the best possible customer experience selling construction building supplies (e.g., drywall, insulation, roofing supplies, waterproofing and other) to builders and contractors (long-term and new customers).

    The ideal candidate will be able to work with little to no supervision, thrive in a fast-paced environment, have strong attention to detail, and the ability to think and adapt "on-the-go".

    This position offers excellent experience and the chance to grow personally and professionally.

    Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain existing contacts, develop new customers, and expand Watson's reach in the building material supply market.(Include but are not limited to the following) Expand Watson's business through new customer relationships and manage existing customer base.

    Promote and sell full line of building material products to a range of clients including new and existing contractors, builders, general contractors, and developers.

    Remain knowledgeable and current regarding industry and customer developments.
    Track jobs in assigned sales territory.
    Collections and delinquent account management.
    Regularly report on progress to senior management.
    Act as an ambassador of the company with all employees, customers, and suppliers.
    Maintain an emphasis on a safety culture, customer service, and efficiency as a top priority.
    Follow all regulations and company policies and procedures.
    Assist with coverage in the yard when required.
    All other duties as directed by the Branch Sales Manager.

    Basic QualificationsExceptional people and communication skills.2-3 years of experience in the construction/ building materials industry and detailed product knowledge or 2-3 years' experience as a sales representative.

    Ability to problem solve, prioritize, and manage multiple assignments.
    Dynamic, results driven individual with proven ability to develop and capitalize on sales leads.
    Detailed knowledge of pricing strategies and price book set up and maintenance.
    Detailed knowledge of reporting tools and intermediate level computer skills.
    A Positive can-do attitude is essentialBenefits Salary- $55,000 - $65,000 + Sales Commission.
