Environmental Services
Hours: 15 Hours/Bi-Weekly
Shift:
Rotating Weekends, 07:30am - 15:30pm
44 per hour (Start rate: $25.17 per hour in accordance with collective agreement requirements).
Temporary Part-Time (Ends March 31, 2025)
Disinfects complete bed unit.
Perform project work, which includes wall washing, high dusting, vacuuming, stripping, and waxing of floors as needed
Collecting, packaging, and disposing of garbage
Responsible for set-ups, replacing materials and frequent moving of equipment and furniture
Attend required education and safety training
Assist in training of new personnel in all required job functions
Compliance with and commitment to patient safety responsibilities and corresponding hospital plans, policies, and procedures in order to ensure a safe environment for patients
At minimum completion of high school or recognized equivalent
~3 months to less than 6 months practical and related experience and/or 3 months to less than 6months on the job training
~ Ability to read, write and speak English fluently to understand verbal work orders and/or instructions
~ Compliance with sanitary and infection control requirements
~ Ability to perform duties in a professional and courteous manner and produce high quality work while meeting deadlines in accordance to UHN standards
~ Compliance with confidentiality requirements under UHN Privacy Policy
~ Knowledge of UHN and/or departmental policies
~ Client service oriented, with the ability to effectively work with diversity and appreciate that people with different opinions, backgrounds and characteristics bring richness to the challenge or situation at hand.
~ Vaccines (COVID-19and others) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption on a medical ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.
