Job Title: Quality Control Inspector

Pay: $24.15 per hour ($26.23 after 6 months) | Toronto, ON

My client within the electrical wiring and cable industry is looking for a Quality Control Inspector to help with quality control with their wiring and cable products as their business is growing

Job Description

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the Quality Control Inspector will ensure that all incoming, in-process, and final products, and shipping preparation of products meet the required quality standards. The role involves: performing dimensional and inspections to product requirements (incoming, in-process and final), electrical testing such as continuity, DWV, IR tests, AC/DC Hipot Tests, and soldering and crimping to make test adapters for the automated test equipment. The successful candidate will also be responsible for packaging finished products, assisting in developing new and revising current testing and inspection procedures, and performing inspections as required. The role also involves training, coaching and mentoring new staff members.

Must Have Skills

1-2 years experience in a manufacturing environment, preferable in wire & cable industry
Experience in quality control in a similar industry (semi conductor an asset)
Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications
Basic Knowledge of electricity and electronics
Able to read and interpret drawing and schematics
(Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC 610, IPC J-Standard is considered an asset)

Soft Skills

Excellent communication skills, verbal and written (fluency in English a must)
Ability to perform light physical work such as torqueing of aircraft harnesses
Ability to use a variety of hand tools
Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
Ability to meet deadlines or ahead of schedule with high quality work standard

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Toronto, Ontario near The Albon Mall.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position working from 8:30AM-5PM in a well-lit, small and friendly facility with a clean manufacturing environment. The role involves working in a dedicated Quality Control area where inspections are conducted. The facility maintains a comfortable room temperature and is dust-free. Please note that the company will be moving to Vaughan in 2025 and candidates need to be comfortable and able to relocate with them.

The pay rate for this position is $24.15/hr, increasing to $26.23/hr after 6 months and once fully qualified.
