    The Senior Analyst plays an important role within the IT Vendor Management Office by aiding the vendor management lifecycle process by having a variety of responsibilities including reporting, analysis, contractual compliance oversight, Vendor Manager support, and stakeholder support focusing on the IT line of business. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing value-added analysis and insight into contractual, spend and performance reviews, identifying and capturing operational efficiencies throughout the vendor management lifecycle processes and be an interface into various IT stakeholders.

    The Senior Analyst is responsible for developing and analyzing the vendor performance through scorecards, spend and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) analysis. Activities include assisting in negotiating contract terms, pricing, incentives, remedies while working with key stakeholders to ensure that requirements are met. Further, the candidate identifies requirements for vendor solutions and services and facilitates communication, governance, and escalation of critical issues for vendors. This position's responsibilities include the creation of work plans, status reports, analytical reports and scorecard input.

    About the Role

    Vendor Performance (40% Working Time)

    Provides senior leadership oversight and direction to staff and project teams (e.g. defining team member roles, responsibilities, and expectations); delivers timely feedback to ensure a cohesive operational unit and the optimal use of team skills; monitors work assignments to ensure adherence to timelines; monitors the achievement of performance objectives; develops and implements action plans to address performance gaps

    Builds and maintains key strategic relationships; liaises with external vendors to support the vendor relationships and provides governance and oversight to day-to-day operations

    Develops and monitors Key Performance measures to ensure business plans reflect IT objectives and maximize contractual value through client satisfaction assessments and KPI reporting

    Manage vendors through the creation of scorecards and other tools of performance and risk management

    Lead and manage the development of vendor tiering for strategic vendor partnerships to maximize value for future procurement initiatives.

    Contract Negotiations (30% Working Time)

    Develops contract negotiation, governance and management strategies to ensure that contracts adhere to LCBO policies and procedures, and to minimize corporate liability and risk throughout the contract lifecycle

    Supports the development and leads the execution of the IT strategy for contracts with vendors, to ensure the successful outcomes, value for money objectives and compliance

    In partnership with LCBO Procurement and Legal teams, gathers key stakeholder input regarding needs, service delivery, and quality, to ensure business alignment

    Implements and measures cost savings / reduction programs and strategies; refines programs to deliver optimal financial results for the company; continually identifies and implements new opportunities and tracks progress toward cost savings/avoidance objectives

    Contract Management (15% Working Time)

    Defines, measures, establishes, and maintains the key baseline and target metrics and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure efficiency of operations and delivery of high-quality service experiences to LCBO

    Manages vendor relationships and reviews supplier performance for adherence to contractual terms; leads business reviews; recommends resolutions for difficult issues by conducting effective negotiations and prepares performance improvement plans, as required

    Leads and supports development and management of new Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with vendors; communicates contract changes to vendors and advises of any impact to current agreements

    Drives and supports vendor QBR's with identified strategic partners to ensure customer satisfaction and governance of contractual obligations and agreements.

    Facilitate and support the ongoing action plans for active audit gap closures in the contract management audit findings.

    Reporting (15% Working Time)

    Lead the Vendor Maturity Scale framework program to allow value added procurement insights into future vendor selection and decision making for various software, hardware etc.

    Create and analyze all vendor reports to determine contractual compliance, forecast upcoming trends and monitor spend with IT's largest vendors while ensuring risk governance

    Maintain Vendor Management documentation, including the tracking/trending and monitoring of all vendor performance, past and present

    Develop and implement a Vendor Management reporting tool to streamline the Vendor reporting process and conduct monthly analysis reporting for senior management

    About You

    Minimum 3-5 years' progressive experience dealing with IT sourcing activities and managing vendor relationships in a fast pace and highly complex, multifaceted environment

    Minimum University/College Diploma. Completion of a degree in Business Administration, or a related discipline – or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent is preferred

    Minimum Vendor Management Certification / Negotiation certification. Certified International Procurement Professional (CIPP) Is preferred

    Contract management and negotiation skills to build, deliver, and maintain strategic vendor relationships, and negotiate or re-negotiate vendor agreements

    Leadership skills to motivate a team and set high standards and clear expectations

    Interpersonal and oral/written/presentation skills to build business cases and prepare scope documents, communication plans, and contract awards
