    Description

    The Legal Services Division of the City of Toronto is seeking a real estate lawyer for a two-year term contract position, with the possibility of extension.

    Join our team of over 45 real estate law professionals, including 25 real estate lawyers, as we work together to support a wide range of City programs that are critical to our residents, including the provision of shelters, transit, affordable housing, parkland, and municipal infrastructure.


    To qualify for this role, you will have a minimum of five years of practice experience (compensation range $161,000 to $200,026); be a member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario; and possess excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.

    Your resume will reveal an increasingly complex and sophisticated real estate practice portfolio. You will provide a broad range of real estate law services to City Council, its Divisions, Agencies and staff.

    Successful applicants may be eligible to join the OMERS pension plan as of their hire date and qualify for the City's benefits plans after six months of service.
